_Ali Skye Bennet
has been performing and creating theatre since the age of 8, writing
literary adaptations, movie-musicals, and sketch comedy throughout
middle and high school. She attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts
from 2001-2005 and has lived in New York ever since as an accomplished
actor, producer, and photographer. In 2005, she started a company called
Theatre of Mass Destruction, which produced full-scale productions of
original plays, several staged readings, music showcases, art
exhibitions, and a fashion show. Since then, she has produced work
independently at A.R.T./New York, Manhattan Repertory Theatre, and The Algonquin, among others. She the resident producer for classical-experimental company, American Centaur (TheatreLab, Ars Nova ANT Fest Oct. 2011), and interned for internationally/critically-acclaimed theatre company Elevator Repair Service.
As a performer, she has worked with The Living Theatre, Manhattan Repertory Theatre, Chashama, Eric Wallach’s Flight 18, The Brick, The Ontological-Hysteric, and in the first ever New Orleans Fringe Festival, just to name a few, and has made several TV appearances on episodics and commercials.
Ms. Bennet is also an award-winning photographer with international publication (Image International, Photolife Magazine), and has traveled all over the world documenting her adventures and the people she meets through her photos and journals.
